GLASS WORKSHOPS IN AYR - 2012

I run workshops at my my studio in Ayr for anyone interested in learning about microwave fusing or copper foiling (Tiffany style) and leadwork and creating their own jewellery, mirror or window panel.

This could be the first step to a new hobby or just having some fun with friends. There is no pressure to draw your own design, I can provide patterns if you would prefer.

Classes are normally on a Saturday, but weekday classes are available on request

1 DAY COPPER FOIL AND MICROWAVE FUSING COURSE FOR ADULTS - £70 (inc materials & refreshments)
Have fun learning to fuse glass in a domestic microwave combined with the traditional skill of copper foiling. Make and take home some fused glass jewellery or a sun-catcher with fused and copper foil
techniques.

2 DAY COPPER FOIL COURSE FOR ADULTS- £130 for 2 days
(inc. materials & refreshments)
Learn the traditional techniques of stained glass and make a small copper foil panel to take home (max. size 5” sq). The first day will be learning to cut glass, finalising/choosing a design and cutting the glass for your panel. The second day will be preparing glass to foil, learning to solder and the important finishing touches.

All classes run from 10am - 5pm each day. Maximum number of students in each class is 3. Please wear old clothes and sensible shoes and bring an old apron. Classes using lead or lead solder are not suitable for pregnant women. All classes are for complete beginners, unless otherwise requested.
